A computing platform that manages data and device management operations at the edge. Runs on a variety of hardware platforms and can be implemented on legacy infrastructure. Runs as an application under Linux, and can fit on gateways, routers and small embedded systems and devices. Users can ingest or collect data from any connected "thing," including devices, sensors, gateways, routers and systems. Data is converted to a standard normalized format (JSON) and can be consumed and acted upon by any application running at the edge or in the cloud. Devices are enabled with zero-touch configuration, and the platform provides monitoring and remote diagnostics of edge devices. Applications communicate directly with the platform in Local Area Networks (LANs), through a cloud connector or via one of the many integrations for third-party cloud services.
