BGP EVPN (Border Gateway Protocol Ethernet Virtual Private Network)
BGP EVPN (Border Gateway Protocol Ethernet Virtual Private Network) is a scalable routing protocols of the global Internet, as well as for service provider private networks. Ethernet Virtual Private Network is a standard for multi-protocol address mapping. BGP can be used as a routing protocol, along with EVPN, to enable a complete control plane for Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN). The combination of BGP-EVPN with VXLAN can be used to define how the VXLAN tunnel endpoints map the MAC to IP address mappings for virtual machines.
